Against the Spread Pick
It will be a battle for sole possession of first place in the Ivy League when the Yale Bulldogs and Princeton Tigers collide on Friday. Yale has won seven of its last eight games, losing only to Harvard by one point during this stretch. The Bulldogs have not lost a game by more than three points since Nov. 17, and their only setbacks during that span have come at the hands of North Carolina and Penn State. Azar Swain (16.4 ppg) is averaging 26.3 ppg over the past three contests. Also 5-1 in conference play, Princeton fell at Cornell 73-62 last weekend but then beat Columbia by seven points. If the Tigers want to compete on Friday they will have to limit their turnovers (averaging 13.1 per outing). The favorite is 19-7-2 ATS in the last 28 meetings between the two teams. YALE should be able to take care of business.
Over Under Pick
Yale can absolutely shoot the lights out. This team is draining 47.4 percent of its shots overall, including 37.9 percent from three-point range. Paul Atkinson is contributing 17.6 ppg, while Swain produces from the outside and is one of three Bulldogs who has made at least 26 threes while also shooting at least 36.6 percent from deep. Princeton features three players averaging more than 12.5 points per game, led by Jaelin Llewellyn at 14.3 ppg. Look for this one to go OVER the total.
