The sixth-seeded Mountaineers face the third-seeded Sooners in the Big 12 tournament quarterfinals with Oklahoma looking to secure a spot in the NCAA tournament. Oklahoma the regular season with three wins in their final four games. West Virginia had a nice end their regular season with a home upset of the Baylor Bears. The Mountaineers came up 11-point short in the most recent head-to-head meeting. West Virginia has really struggled against the spread in their last 12 games, covering just three times in that span. In Oklahoma’s last three wins, they also are 3-0 ATS. The Mountaineers are unbeaten in neutral site games this season. Taking West Virginia to cover 3.5 points is the right call.
Over Under Pick
The Mountaineers and Sooners were able to combine for a 135-point total in their most recent meeting this season. West Virginia had a little trouble reaching the 70-point mark down the final stretch of the season but has reached 76 points or more in their last two games. Oklahoma had its best effort on the offensive end of the floor in their recent two-point win against TCU, since early February, as they broke a streak of six games with 73 points or less. Both teams are capable of reaching the 70-point mark on any given night, but if the Mountaineers can limit the Sooners reaching a 134.5-point total is going to be tough. Still given what they were able to accomplish in their most recent meeting, a play on the over is the right call.
