Against The Spread Pick

Anthony Davis (spine) remains questionable for the Los Angeles Lakers following a hard fall against New York last week. He has missed the past three games and with his team still in fine form it sounds like there is no rush to bring him back. That may not be great news for the Lakers in terms of Wednesday’s date with the Orlando Magic, but in all likelihood it also means that Orlando probably won’t get enough points to cover. The Magic are dealing with injuries, themselves, mainly to D.J. Augustin, Michael Carter-Williams, and Al-Farouq Aminu. Orlando is 2-7-1 ATS in its last 10 on the road against opponents with winning home records. The Lakers are 4-0 ATS in their last four overall and 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 against opponents with losing records. LOS ANGELES should be the way to go.

Over Under Pick

In a whopping eight of Orlando’s past 11 outings, the losing team has been held to fewer than 100 points. Terrence Ross has scored single-digits in two of the past three. The under is 5-1 in the Magic’s last six overall and 12-2 in their last 14 against opponents with winning records. It is also 40-18-1 in the Lakers’ last 59 at home. Additionally, the under is 21-5 in the last 26 meetings between the two teams and 14-2 in Orlando’s last 16 trips to Los Angeles. Take the UNDER.
