Puck Line Pick
The Capitals have been incredible on the road this season, both overall and against the spread. Washington is 21-7-1 when playing on the road, and they’re 20-9 against the spread, meaning they’re basically never a fade when they’re away from the nation’s capital. While Washington has struggled a bit of late (3-5-0), they’re still a respectable 10-7-0 in 2020. Best of all, the Caps already topped Vegas once this season, beating them 5-2 back in November. Meanwhile, the inconsistent Golden Knights have been playing better hockey recently, going 6-3-2 since January 16th. However, the team has had similarly-glowing stretches throughout the season, but they’re usually supplemented by a lengthy winless streak. There’s a good chance Vegas won’t extend their streak to three on Monday, at least from a betting perspective. While they’re 16-10-4 at home, they’re only 9-21 against the spread. Best of all, Washington is curiously the underdog in this matchup. We’ll happily take the extra goal and opt for Capitals puck line.
Over Under Pick
The total has gone over in all five of these teams’ most-recent matchups, and we expect that trend to continue on Monday. We’re taking the over.
