Against The Spread Pick

We all know how bad North Carolina have been this season, however a late season run and with an ACC title, it would see them make the NCAA Tournament. Not that this is likely, but the Tar Heels won 92-79 at Syracuse this past Saturday an actually played a very good game. Wake Forest is also on a small run after beating Duke at home last week and Notre Dame over the weekend. The Demon Deacons got a 74-57 win over the Tar Heels in the last meeting, but I look for North Carolina to play much better at home. Note that North Carolina are still only 4-10 ATS at home this year, so they are not a team I want to back. I look for Wake to cover this game on the road.

Over Under Pick

We have two very high scoring teams in this game, or two teams that lack defense. Over the last five games, the Tar Heels are averaging 74 points an also allowing 74 points. Wake Forest have been even better over this stretch, averaging 80.8 points, but allowing 77.6 points. The over is 7-1-1 in North Carolina’s last 9 home games and 15-5-2 in Wake Forest’s last 22 games overall. We are still talking about the Tar Heels here, so this is a lean at best.
