Against the Spread Pick
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are a horrendous 1-8 on the road this season–the worst such record in the ACC. They are not particularly good anywhere, in fact, with just three wins in their last 11 games overall. Wake Forest is turning the ball over 14.5 times per contest, which is not going to work for a squad that shoots the ball only okay, does not rebound particularly well, and struggles on the defensive end. The Miami Hurricanes are 7-4 at home compared to 3-6 on the road. They are coming off an 85-58 rout of Boston College, with Isiah Wong going for 20 points. Wong (6.5 ppg) is averaging 20.5 ppg over the past two outings. It is worth nothing that the home team is 8-1-2 ATS in the last 11 head-to-head matchups. MIAMI should cover the spread without too much trouble.
Over Under Pick
If there is any good news for the Demon Deacons, it’s that they feature four different players in double-figures–led by Brandon Childress at 15.0 points per game. For Miami, Wong has reached double-figures in six consecutive contests. He had previously not reached the 10-point mark in any game this season. Defense will likely be optional in this one, so the OVER is the play.
