Money Line Pick
This should be one of the more exciting games on Tuesday as both teams are in playoff contention. Boston is just one point behind the Capitals for the top seed in the East, so you know they will be fighting for every point they can get. Vancouver is five points behind the top-seeded, St. Louis Blues, so they also want to come out strong and show they can compete for the top spot in the West. Also, we need to point out that Boston has a home record of 17-2-9, while the Canucks are 13-13-2 on the road. Even though Boston has a very good record on their home ice, the underdog is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings. Last time Vancouver played in Boston, they beat them 8-5 and given the price that is one Boston, I lean towards the Canucks to get the road upset.
Over Under Pick
I like the total much more than the side as both of these teams know how to score the puck. Each averaging 3.3 goals per game, we should see plenty of scoring throughout this contest. The defenses are solid, however, the over is 7-3 in the last head to head meetings. The over is 8-2 in Vancouver’s last 10 road games and 9-3 in Vancouver’s last 12 games as an underdog. With that being said, I like the over to cash in this cross-conference match-up as a strong lean.
