Against the Spread Pick
Ten points for the USC Trojans? That seems like a lot for a team that has not suffered a bad loss since falling to Temple at home on Nov. 21–the Trojans’ only bad loss of the season. Their last two setbacks have come at 12th-ranked Oregon in double-overtime and to 20th-ranked Colorado. The Arizona Wildcats are a disappointing 6-6 since starting the 2019-20 campaign 9-0. Only three players are averaging in double-figures and Nico Mannion has gone six consecutive contests without scoring more than 16 points–his longest such stretch (by far) of the season. The Trojans are 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall, 5-1 ATS in their last six on the road, 8-3 ATS in their last 11 against opponents with winning records, and 4-1 ATS in their last five following a loss. Ten points should be enough for USC.
Over Under Pick
Mannion is struggling at the moment and Arizona really isn’t deep enough to overcome that on a consistent basis. On the bright side, the ‘Cats held Washington State to 49 points this past Saturday. The under is 8-3 in the Trojans’ last 11 overall, 4-1 in their last five on the road, and 6-2 in their last eight against opponents with winning percentages over .600. It is also 27-13-1 in the Wildcats’ last 41 at home and 4-1 in their last five against opponents with winning records. Back the UNDER with plenty of confidence.
