Against the Spread Pick
The UCLA Bruins have tide their season high with four wins in a row heading into Saturday’s date with the Colorado Buffaloes. UCLA had been an even 5-5 in the Pac-12 but now stands at 9-5 thanks to a stretch that features road scalps of Arizona and Utah. Prince Ali (7.1 ppg) is questionable due to a back injury, but the Bruins have enough firepower to make up for the potential absence of a role player. Colorado has not won by double-digits at home since Jan. 25 against Washington. The Bruins are 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall and 5-2 ATS in their last seven as underdogs. Colorado is 1-4 ATS in its last five overall and 0-5 ATS in its last five following a win. It is also worth noting that the underdog is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings between the two teams. Continue to monitor Ali’s status, but UCLA is probably the way to go.
Over Under Pick
UCLA has plenty of depth, but it does not boast any go-to player. Chris Smith is the team’s leading scorer at 13.2 ppg and nobody else is averaging in double-figures. Fortunately for the visitors, they have been putting the clamps down on defense. In their past three regulation games, the opponent has scored in the 50s. The under is 7-3 in the Bruins’ last 10 on the road. It is also 19-7 in the Buffaloes’ last 26 on Saturdays. Look for this one to stay UNDER the total.
