Against The Spread Pick
Tulane finally was able to snap their nine game losing streak Wednesday at home. UCF on the other hand has won three of their last four. One of those wins game against Tulane on the road. Both of these two teams are equally underwhelming offensively, averaging just around 68 points per game. Neither shoot very well either hitting at just 42 percent from the field. While the offenses may be equal the defenses are not. UCF has the advantage here only allowing an average of 67.8 points per game and holding opponents under 42 percent from the field. As a favorite this year UCF is an outstanding 10-0 ATS, while Tulane is a measly 4-11 ATS as an underdog. The Green Wave are also just 2-8 ATS in their last ten. It is worth noting that the Knights are 9-2 ATS in their last eleven games in February, meaning they are starting to heat up. Back UCF.
Over Under Pick
Tulane features a very mediocre defense which has allowed opponents over the last five game to score 70 or more points. The way that Tulane has found success this year is by outscoring opponents. If they win the score usually is high. UCF isn’t a scoring juggernaut by any means and over their last five games has not reached the 70 point mark. Last time these two faced off the total went under and with both teams having poor offenses I see that being the case here again. The under has hit seven of UCF’s last ten and eight times in their last nine home games. The under is also 7-0 the last seven times this matchup has been played in UCF. I like the under.
