Puck Line Pick

Justin Williams already helped lead the Hurricanes to one victory following his abbreviated retirement, and Carolina could build off that momentum on Tuesday. The team had previously lost three-straight entering Sunday’s win over the Islanders, and that continued a trend of inconsistency this season. That three-game skid was preceded by a three-game winning streak… which was preceded by a two-game losing streak, a two-game winning streak, a three-game losing streak, a three-game winning streak, etc. If there’s anything to take away from their inconsistency, it’s the fact that they’ve haven’t won or lost less than two games in a row since a December 12th loss (which was cushioned by a pair of three-game winning streaks).

Over Under Pick

Meanwhile, the Jets have struggled of late, going 1-4 over their last five. The poor play even dates back to December; since December 12th, Winnipeg has gone 6-10-2. The Jets have an admirable 14-9-2 road record (although they’re going against a Hurricanes squad that’s 16-8-1 at home), and they’re 15-13-3 as underdogs.
