Against The Spread Pick
The San Diego State Aztecs are college basketball’s lone remaining undefeated team this season. They enter this game ranked 4th in the nation with a record of 19-0. The Aztecs have won their previous five games by an average of 13.8 points per game. San Diego State will look to extend the nation’s longest winning streak to twenty games when they host the Wyoming Cowboys. Meanwhile, Wyoming enters this game with a record of 5-15, which includes an 0-8 conference record putting them in last place in the conference. In the previous match-up between these teams, the Aztecs won by 20 on the road. I don’t see that changing in this game as I look for San Diego State to come away with the win and cover the 24-point spread against Wyoming on Tuesday.
Over Under Pick
Wyoming is one of the lowest-scoring teams in college basketball. They enter this game averaging 60.20 points per game, which ranks 343rd in the nation. Defensively, the Cowboys are an above-average team as they are allowing 67.05 points per game. Meanwhile, the San Diego State Aztecs are an above-average team offensively as they are averaging 74.84 points per game. However, they are one of the elite defensive teams in college basketball, as they are allowing the 4th fewest points per game with 56.79. I don’t look for this game to be high scoring as the Cowboys struggle offensively while the Aztecs are an elite team defensively. As a result, I’m putting my money on the under 118.5 points.
