Tranmere came from two goals down at half time to rescue some time in a thrilling 2-2 draw from Gillingham in Prenton Park.
Alfie Jones along with alex Jakubiak gave a comfortable lead in the interval to the Gills however Rovers returned another animal after the break, restoring parity against Paul Mullin and Connor Jennings, who also missed a penalty.
The people led after 16 minutes, once an Ollie Lee corner wasn’t dealt with by Rovers and Jakubiak was available to hit home the rebound, even though Max Ehmer’s header being heroically kept out by Scott Davies.
The hosts were penalized before the break, when Davies could only palm a cross into the path of the Jones, who gleefully knocked at it home 10 minutes for aerial ineptness.
Mullin saw his spot kick saved by Jack Bonham at the 66th minute but Tranmere pulled back, as Jennings dispatched a loose ball to the next strike.
And Mullin got a return three minutes after, before slamming a left-foot shot into the internet beyond Bonham, cutting indoors.
