Against the Spread Pick
If the Mean Green continue playing as they are right now, the school has a good chance to make their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2010. While North Texas struggled to start the season (6-7), they’ve dominated in conference play, going 6-1 (including six-straight victories). Plus, its not just the fact that they’ve been winning… it’s how they’re doing it. In the 12 victories, the team has won by less than 18 points (yes, 18) only three times. They also have all the betting characteristics that you’d want in a college squad, including an 8-2 home record and 7-1 record as favorites.
Over Under Pick
Things aren’t as cheery for UTSA. The team briefly rebounded from their 0-5 start to the season, going 6-2 overall between November 22nd and December 28th. Since then, the team is 3-3 overall, although it’s worth noting that two of those losses came in overtime. The Road Runners are also an abysmal 1-5 on the road, and they’re 2-6 as underdogs.
