Against The Spread Pick
The UCLA Bruins go on the road in PAC-12 play as they make a road visit to Gill Coliseum for a head-to-head clash with the Oregon State Beavers. The Bruins haven’t had much luck this season en route to a current 9-9 record. Meanwhile, the Beavers have had far better luck coming into this game. UCLA is coming in off a much-needed win against CAL, but an injury to Prince Ali limits the Bruins at both ends of the floor along the wing. Oregon State has lost three of their last four games, but with both teams have notable struggles against the spread, this isn’t a likely easy play. The Beavers have covered in each of the last seven head-to-head meetings. UCLA has been quite ineffective all-season, which makes taking Oregon State to cover 7.5 points an easy choice here.
Over Under Pick
The Bruins scoring effort has been a real problem for most of the season, as they have been quite limited in that regard. Oregon State has been far more consistent in regards to scoring the basketball, as they have scored 76 points or more in four of their last five games. UCLA was able to get a 50-40 victory over California in its last game. Only scoring 50 points is far from what the Bruins will need to not only compete with Oregon State but to help the total reach an over 138.5-point total. Their last three head-to-head meetings all finished with under totals. None of those games could reach the 140-point mark, so the under has to be on the ticket in this situation.
