Against the Spread Pick
The 8-8 record makes Cal an interesting case right now. They have not won a road game this season but at the same time they are coming off back to back wins in the PAC 12, beating both Washington teams at home. Now they are down to SoCal where the best they might be able to hope for is a split. Matt Bradley has grown his game in his second year on campus and is scoring 17ppg but I don’t think they will have enough firepower to stay close on the road. I like this USC team as a sleeper in the league and in the Tournament if they make it. The same team Cal just beat, Washington, also recently beat the Trojans in an ugly affair, the Trojans scored only 40 points. They rebounded with a win against UCLA and they will have some big-time advantages inside against the Bears. USC is a significant favorite, which worries me but I would rather back the team that I know better here. Take USC.
Over Under Pick
USC Coach Andy Enfield made his mark at Florida Gulf Coast and started his USC tenure playing really fast. They are not doing so as much this season and the O/U stats bear that out, and they have played five straight unders. Look for that under again here.
