Against The Spread Pick
It is worth noting that this is technically a neutral site game as it is being played at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City. The Red Raiders won the reverse game 68-61 earlier this year on the back of their super frosh Jahmi’us Ramsey and they will be looking for Ramsey to lead from the front and continue to push them towards a higher seed in the NCAA Tournament. He went for 25 points and seven assists on Saturday against Iowa State. Oklahoma is the very definition of a bubble team and has lost three in a row including a 17-point rivalry game setback against Oklahoma State. Oklahoma is 8-3-1 in its last 12 Tuesday night games and I like them to cover here as the “home” squad.
Over Under Pick
The Red Raiders sit at 16-11-0 against the over/under while the Sooners are 12-15-0 in the same metric. The Red Raiders defense has been solid all year – they give up just 62.9 points per game which is 27th best in the country – and the Sooners are going to have some problems scoring the ball here. The Sooners average 70.7 points per game to the Tech offense of 73.7 and if those numbers hold then the over will win this one by some margin. I like the Sooners to be better at holding onto the ball than they have been for most of this season – they are 332nd in turnovers – and for there to be enough scoring possessions to push this matchup to the over with some room to spare.
