Against the Spread Pick
The Texas Longhorns are in the midst of a season-long three-game losing streak as they prepare to visit the TCU Horned Frogs. Texas is coming off consecutive setbacks against Kansas, West Virginia, and LSU. The ‘Horns have been especially bad on the road of late, with losses to Providence, Baylor, and a 97-59 humiliation at the Mountaineers’ hands. Kamaka Hepa (ankle) is out and Gerald Liddell (back) is questionable, something that Texas really can’t afford. This is already one of the thinnest teams in the Big 12 in terms of depth. TCU is a solid 5-3 in its past eight contests. The Longhorns are 3-10 ATS in their last 10 overall and 1-7 ATS in their last eight against opponents with winning records. TCU is 5-2 ATS in its last seven following a loss. It is also worth noting that the home team is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 head-to-head matchups. Five points probably won’t be anywhere near enough for Texas, so back the HORNED FROGS with plenty of confidence.
Over Under Pick
Texas does not score a ton of points due to a lack of depth, but its four top scorers are averaging in double-figures. TCU features three guys with such numbers, and they should have their way with a generous Longhorns defense. West Virginia pinned 97 points on the ‘Horns last Monday. Don’t be surprised if this one goes OVER the total.
