Against the Spread Pick
The Tennessee Volunteers have lost a season-high three games in a row heading into Tuesday’s road date with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Second-leading scorer Lamonte Turner is out for the year with a shoulder injury and Josiah-Jordan James is questionable for Tuesday due to a groin problem. James is logging more than 30 minutes per contest and contributing averages of 7.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. In other words, this swoon could continue for the Volunteers. Alabama has dropped two in a row, but it had previous reeled off four straight victories. Tennessee is 3-7 ATS in its last 10 against opponents with winning records. The Crimson Tide are 12-3 ATS in their last 15 overall, 10-2 ATS in their last 12 at home, and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 against opponents with winning records. ALABAMA will likely take care of business without too much trouble.
Over Under Pick
The winning team has scored at least 76 points in all but one of Alabama’s games this season (the only exception is 73). Jaden Shackelford has scored 21 and 28 points in the past two outings. He is averaging 13.4 ppg but two teammates (Kira Lewis Jr. and John Petty Jr. are ahead of him). The over is 17-4 in the Volunteers’ last 21 on the road and 8-2 in their last 10 following a loss. It is also 3-1-1 in the Crimson Tide’s last five overall and 6-1 in their last seven at home. Look for this one to go OVER the total.
