TCU Point Spread

Under Game Totals

Against The Spread Pick

Another underwhelming game on the Wednesday card will see in-state rivals face off in a Big 12 showdown. The Horned Frogs just snapped a six-game losing streak with their 68-57 win over Kansas State this past weekend. They still have so much work to do to be considered for an at-large bid because a conference record of 5-7 is just very poor. Texas is not really fairing any better, with a conference record of 4-8. They have lost four in a row after a 81-52 beat-down by Iowa State in their most recent game. The Longhorns did beat TCU in this first meeting, 62-61. That game was played in Fort Worth, so they now will have the home court advantage. However, home court has not meant much for a Longhorns team that is 2-4 at home against conference opponents. Because these teams are evenly matched, I look for the Horned Frogs to pick up a cover in this game.

Over Under Pick

This is not a total to run to the window and bet because of the inconsistencies for both sides.  Overall, the offenses for these teams barely average 65 points per game. Furthermore, over just the last five games, these teams have averaged less than 57 points per game. The under is 12-4 in Texas’ last 16 games against a team from the Big 12. The under is also 12-2 in the last 14 head to head meetings. I look for another offensive struggle in this game and will take the under as a very small lean.
