Tar Heels

Louisville -9 Point Spread

Against The Spread Pick

Behind potential ACC player of the year Jordan Nwora, Louisville has worked their way into contention for the conference title. The Tar Heels haven’t been able to catch a break as of late, losing four of their last six by a bucket or less. Louisville has the ability to explode offensively at any given moment and against a poor North Carolina defense they might do just that. This is a huge spot for the Cardinals given that they are in a heated battle for the top spot in conference so they will be motivated. The favorite is 7-1 ATS in the last eight games of this matchup. Louisville is going to get ahead early and run up the score, to which the Tar Heels won’t have an answer. Back Louisville in this one.

Over Under Pick

Both teams have different styles on offense. North Carolina plays fast, but they haven’t been able to find any consistency from the field. They are shooting 41 percent from the floor and a terrible 29 percent from beyond the arc. Not to mention the Tar Heels’ problems from the free throw line, where they only make 66 percent. Louisville on the other hand plays a slower more methodical approach and likes to grind out possessions in the paint. The Cardinals are very confident in their defense and have no problem forcing teams to work against it. I see this one going under.
