Money Line Pick
The Blues put their seven-game winning streak on the line as they visit Madison Square Garden to take on the Rangers. New York is scrambling to rebound from back-to-back losses against the Philadelphia Flyers. St. Louis is 2-0 in its last two games against a team from the Metropolitan Divison. The Blues might be 7-0 in their last seven games, but their struggle on the road cannot be forgotten, with losses in nine of their last 12 games away from home. The last 10 meetings have resulted in five wins for both teams. St. Louis couldn’t overcome the hostile environment in their last visit to Madison Square Garden, and that could easily happen again in this clash. Taking the Rangers at home is a the right choice.
Over Under Pick
New York hasn’t slown down in their search for a shot come to the playoffs, but they will need to reach the three-goal mark a lot faster if they want to take down the defending champions. Five-straight games of three goals or more performances for the Blues has them in a strong position. However, the last three head-to-head meetings for the Rangers and Blues have only had one reach a total of more than six goals. A six-goal total is likely again, but taking a total of more than that isn’t a good play.
