Money Line Pick
The second night of a back to back for the Anaheim Ducks will see them host the St. Louis Blues. The Ducks are all but out of playoff contention and as of Tuesday night, trail Minnesota by 12 points. St. Louis on the other hand, is leading the Western Conference with 92 points. The Blues have won eight of their last 10 games as well, so they are in great form as we get closer and closer to the playoffs. These teams have split their two meetings this season, each winning 4-1. I do not love this spot for Anaheim since they have to travel back home on no rest. Also, the Blues are playing much better over the past week or so, and for that reason I will take St. Louis on the money line
Over Under Pick
For the total, we have one average offense in the Blues, scoring 3.1 goals per game, while Anaheim scores just 2.5. Both sides are averaging about 2.2-2.4 goals over their last five, so the offense has not been there recently. Meanwhile, the Blues are playing elite defense, allowing two goals per game over this stretch, while the Duck are giving up 3.6. Both meetings involving these teams stayed under the total and that is where I am looking in this game as well.
