UConn Huskies

South Florida +7.5 Point Spread

Over 124.5 Game Totals

Against The Spread Pick

The Huskies had recently been on a roll, winning games over Tulsa, Cincinnati and Memphis. They just lost an overtime game to Temple last time out to remain near the bottom half of the conference. At this point in the season, UConn cannot afford any more bad losses. They actually need quite a few quality wins to get back into the conversation for the tournament. South Florida on the other hand, just want to remain competitive down the stretch. With a conference record of 4-9 and an overall record of 11-15, the only way they will get into the postseason is with a conference championship. The Bulls enter this game on a three-game losing streak. Note that this South Florida team beat UConn by 15 in the first meeting as a 3-point dog. Now being on the road, I still lean the Bulls way because the Huskies have had trouble pulling away from teams.

Over Under Pick

Much like the side, I do not love the total either. The Bulls average just 61.8 points per game, but only allow 61.6. On the other side, the Huskies have a better offense, averaging 71.5 points, but allow 66.6 points. The over is 8-1 in the last 9 meetings and because of UConn’s defense is allowing 72 points over their last five games, I lean to the over here in this game.
