“The rate is there so I’m not stressed. It is just a matter of putting things together,” he explained.
Vettel was given three penalty points, putting him three.
Formula 1 principles dictate should they accrue 12 penalty points that drivers are given an automated race ban.
Vettel has obtained all his.
That usually means another driving mistake from Russian the coming Singapore or Japanese Grands Prix could activate an automatic suspension.
Vettel said following the Italian Grand Prix he was”not aware” of this penalty-point situation.
The race has been won with his Charles Leclerc, his second in a row, after his victory in Belgium the week.
Vettel hasn’t won a race since the 2018 Belgian Grand Prix, and was near a victory this season just after, when he crossed the line in Canada in June but has been demoted to second with a five-second penalty for rejoining the trail dangerously after going off while under stress in Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes.

“Then the race has been pretty much lost from there but at least the team was still going and afterwards it had been close with Kimi [Raikkonen] this past season, now at least Charles sealed the victory at the conclusion for the group.”
There is concern and consternation in F1 at the regularity with which Vettel is making errors – the average of every three races because last year’s French Grand Prix.
Monza saw his Significant mistake that was fourth this year:
Vettel was given two penalty points to each of the events at Montreal and also Silverstone, while trying to maneuver him during last October’s Japanese Grand 37, for colliding along with his remaining two were.
Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto did not directly address the problem but has said that in other races he’s put in strong performances and/or worked as a team participant, and that Vettel’s mistakes ought to be understood in context.
Binotto also said in Monza that there wasn’t any uncertainty about Vettel’s location at Ferrari for 2020:”I’ve said it and I’m confirming it again – to next year Sebastian and Charles are our motorists and there is no doubt at all about this.”
As the celebratory team picture was joined by Vettel after the race, his name was chanted by the Ferrari team members.
As Vettel needed Leclerc on the initial, because Leclerc hadn’t abided by an agreement to give him a slipstream in their second runs in qualifying vettel was miserable after qualifying at Monza.
Leclerc explained that it was a result of the confusion at the end of qualifying, in which the automobiles were bunched and went slowly around their’out’ lap to attempt and prevent being in the queue, because a slipstream is worth around 0.5 minutes a lap at Monza.
Leclerc did move on the near the corner in front of Vettel, but made it to the line in the time to place a lap. That supposed Leclerc was on Vettel and rod fourth.
Radio communications in the time revealed the frustration of Vettel with what went on. The drivers talked about the matter using Binotto afternoon but Ferrari refused to reveal what was stated.
After Leclerc won Sunday, Binotto stated in Italian”perdonato” over the radio, so”I forgive you”.
Binotto told the media:”This means whatever happened in the last days which we discussed – and that’s something which will remain between us at least today he did a good job and that has been a method of saying we were happy for the project he did.”
Asked whether he believed the episode would sour the relationship between the drivers, Binotto said:”It is something we discussed . There can be points of view the outside lap was a really strange situation for everyone.
“But we’re looking forward. I know I can rely on them. I believe it will not impact [it], it does not indicate it will not occur. The spirit is anything you may do there is something to find out.”
Vettel reported the issues that were qualifying had not influenced his mindset entering the race and weren’t pertinent.
