Against the Spread Pick
So far this season, the Big East conference is pretty jumbled up. Providence is near the top of the standings with their 4-1 record, but there are several teams, including Creighton, sit in the middle at 2-3. The Friars bounced back in their last game by beating St. John’s 63-58. They have now won five of their last six games. The Blue Jays on the other hand, have lost three of their last four including a narrow 83-80 defeat to Georgetown. Both teams are below .500 against the spread, but Creighton has only lost once at home, so I look for them to get the win. Providence is 3-2 ATS in conference games, so it is a very small lean to the Friars plus the points.
Over Under Pick
When these teams play each other, the under has been the way to play it. That does not really change for me here as neither offense is playing great against Big East teams. The Friars are averaging just 68.8 and the Blue Jays average 73. The under is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings. The under is also 13-5 in Creighton’s last 18 games against the Big East. The total is the stronger play here and the under is what you should take.
