Against the Spread Pick
The Clippers have one of the best records in the league but they are only 10-9 on the road. Hitting the road in the East seems a little easier than in the West and they are heading out after two monster wins at home. Paule George is questionable and has missed the last four games but the team is more than capable of winning easily without him, that what they did to start the season. This is a savvy group that the young Pelicans are likely to have trouble with. The Pelicans might not have debuted Zion Williamson yet but they should be feeling good after back to back OT wins. Most recently they beat Utah in a game where they scored 138 points thanks to 49 from Brandon Ingram. They were without Jrue Holiday though and will be again here. Unlike the Clippers, New Orleans does not have the depth to not miss a star player. Or so the thinking goes. You have to fade them against L.A.
Over Under Pick
Win or lose you can expect scoring when the Pelicans are on the court. They have played in 10 straight overs, even though players like Ingram and Holiday have been in and out of the lineup. A combination of bad defense and better than expected offense can work in your favour. Take the over.
