Money Line Pick
There is bound to be a dogfight as the Arizona Coyotes make a trip north for a clash with the Edmonton Oilers. In a top-heavy Pacific Division that is separated by two points between five different teams. This match-up is the final game for both teams before the All-Star break, which will make for a must-see match-up as the Coyotes look to end their recent slump. Edmonton is coming off a big win over Nashville and is also 4-1 in their last five games. Leon Draisaitl has been a key cog for the Oilers and really had an impact in the Nashville win, as he found the net twice. Draisail paired with Connor McDavid makes for a star-pairing in Edmonton. The Oilers have won six of the last 10 head-to-head meetings. They are also playing a little bit better hockey than Arizona lately. Roll with the Oilers on the money line here.
Over Under Pick
A 3-2 score has been a common theme when the Coyotes and Oilers have faced-off. In most cases, Edmonton was able to escape with the win. Neither team has averaged more than three goals in the last 10 head-to-head meetings. Arizona is without both of their top goalies, which could result in the Oilers scoring the puck at a much higher rate than their current 3.08 goal per game average. Scoring more than five goals has been hard for both teams in recent clashes, and only once in the last six meetings has it happened. Edmonton seems quite capable, but still taking the under 5.5 is the smart choice.
