Money Line Pick
Oh, San Jose. Just when we think they’re about to rebound (like when they went 4-1-1 earlier this month), they follow it up with a retched display (like their current 1-5-0 stretch). It’s been a while since the Sharks’ impressive November record, and at this point, it’s tough to trust the squad on any given night. That sentiment will prevail on Tuesday, as San Jose is 8-14-3 on the road and 11-14 against the spread on the road. The Sharks have controlled the matchup in recent years (including a victory earlier this season), but let’s wait until next week (when these teams would have met an additional two times) before we make any assumptions about the head-to-head matchup.
Over Under Pick
The Flames haven’t been playing great recently, but they still look better than their opponent on Tuesday. Following a five-game winning streak to kick off January, the Flames have since gone 2-3-1. Fortunately, there’s reason for optimism on Tuesday, as they’re 13-8-4 at home (although they’re somehow 6-19 against the spread at home).
