Against the Spread Pick
The San Antonio Spurs will be playing the second game of a back-to-back situation when they visit the Chicago Bulls on Monday. San Antonio may be looking forward to its annual Rodeo Road Trip, because it has won its past two road contests while losing two straight at home. The Spurs have also won three of their last four on the road, a stretch that includes a victory at Toronto. Chicago has alternated losses and wins over its last 10 outings, which does not bode well for Monday after beating Cleveland on Saturday. Zach LaVine has been a bit of a one-man show of late and needs some help. San Antonio is 8-2-1 ATS in its last 11 on the road. The Bulls are 17-36 ATS in their last 53 at home and 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 playing on one day of rest. Roll with the SPURS.
Over Under Pick
LaVine may not be getting that help anytime soon, as Lauri Markkanen is out for four to six weeks with a pelvic stress fracture. The losing team has been held below the century mark in three of Chicago’s past six contests. The under is 8-2-1 in the Spurs’ last 11 against opponents with losing records. It is also 5-1 in the Bulls’ last six playing on one day of rest. Additionally, the under is 15-7-1 in the last 23 meetings between the two teams and 4-0-1 ATS in San Antonio’s last five trips to Chicago. Take the UNDER.
