Against the Spread Pick
As long as the Rhode Island Rams don’t get caught looking ahead to next week’s showdown against Dayton (and probably an Atlantic 10 final against Dayton, as well), they should have no trouble on Saturday. Aside from the Flyers, perhaps no team in the nation is as hot as the Rams. They have won nine in a row and most of those nine victims were not even competitive. Fatts Russell has scored at least 21 points in four of the past five outings. As for the George Washington Colonials, they have losses by 20-plus points to both Richmond and St. Bonaventure. The Rams are 4-1 ATS in their last five overall, 4-0 ATS in their last four on the road, and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 against opponents with losing records. George Washington is 1-4 ATS in its last five following a loss by more than 20 points. It is also worth noting that the favorite is 7-0-2 ATS in the last nine meetings between the two teams. Take the RAMS.
Over Under Pick
George Washington scored only 54 points against Richmond and then a hopeless 47 against St. Bonaventure. It just looks like this team still hasn’t recovered from a quadruple overtime game versus Davidson on Jan. 29 (even though the Colonials won it). The under is 7-3 in the Rams’ last 10 overall and 7-3 in their last 10 on Saturdays. It is also 19-9-1 in the Colonials’ last 29 overall and 4-1 in their last five against opponents with winning percentages over .600. Take the UNDER.
