Against The Spread Pick
The Florida State Seminoles may be 21-4 overall, but they are not exactly dominant on a consistent basis. Florida State has lost two of its last six games and some of its recent victories have come by three, six, one, four (in overtime), and four points (all of those dating back to Jan. 15). One of the Seminoles’ setbacks came at the hands of none other than the Pittsburgh Panthers in what was the season opener for both squads. Since Dec. 6 (at Louisville), the Panthers have not lost on the road by than 12 (and the 12-point margin was against Duke). Justin Champagnie (12.5 points per game) has led them in both points and rebounds on four consecutive occasions. He has reached double-figures in seven of the past eight games. The underdog is 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings between the two teams. This amount of points should be enough for PITTSBURGH.
Over Under Pick
Only 124 points in the previous head-to-head matchup between these ACC rivals. In that encounter, both teams shot worse than 40 percent from the floor and turned the ball over at least 13 times (14 for Florida State). Even at modest 12.5 ppg, Champagnie is Pittsburgh’s leading scorer. FSU’s top scorer is Devin Vassell at a similar 13.4 ppg. Lean toward the UNDER.
