Against the Spread Pick
Thursday’s loss at Atlanta notwithstanding, are the Philadelphia 76ers starting to put it all together this season? They are 6-2 in their last eight games, with a victory over the Lakers last Saturday and their only other setback during this stretch coming at defending NBA champion Toronto. Confidence should be back, and it’s certainly sky-high against the Boston Celtics. These two Eastern Conference rivals have already faced each other three times during the 2019-20 campaign and Philadelphia is sweeping the head-to-head series. The fact that both Kemba Walker (knee) and Enes Kanter (questionable) are questionable for Saturday won’t help Boston. Go with the SIXERS, but be sure to take the four points just to be safe.
Over Under Pick
Continue to monitor Walker’s status, but either way points may come at a premium. In two of the three previous head-to-head meetings, 200 and 207 total points were scored. The under is 6-2 in the 76ers’ last eight on the road and 6-0 in their last six against opponents with winning percentages over .600. It is also 5-0 in the Celtics’ last five overall and 5-0 in their last five playing on one day of rest. Look for this one to stay UNDER the total.
