Puck Line Pick
The Ottawa Senators won’t have much to lose as they visit PPG Paints Arena to face the Pittsburgh Penguins. Pittsburgh is in need of a win and soon, as their losing streak has reached six games. Ottawa has had its painful performances this season, but they have built a little confidence with back-to-back victories over Vancouver and Detroit. The Senators have lost each of their last seven visits to PPG Paints Arena. The last two meetings have both been in Pittsburgh and the Penguins were able to win both by at least two goals. This is the kind of match-up that can get Pittsburgh back on track, so taking them on the puck line is the smart play.
Over Under Pick
Pittsburgh has been far from the level they were not even three weeks ago. It has been pretty ugly for a team that averages 3.19 goals per game. Including a recent 5-0 shutout loss in San Jose. Which was also the second shutout in the last six games for the Penguins. Ottawa has scored at least four goals in their last two games. These two combined for seven goals in their first meeting this season, but with the recent struggles for the Penguins and just three total goals for them in their last three games combined, taking the under 6.5 total is the right move here.
