Ole Miss was a perfect 4-0 in out of conference games last year delivered a record in SEC playwith. The Rebels will be looking to improve upon their current background, having won six or fewer matches over the past three years, and hoping to reinforce past season’s defense which surrendered an average of 36.2 points per game.
Their crime was the only bright spot, averaging 33.9 points and over 510 total yards per game but that should be taken in context, as they racked up a whopping 76 and 70 points against lightly regarded Southern Illinois and UL Monroe, respectively.
Memphis was a winning soccer program under the watch of head coach Mike Norvell , notching at least eight wins within the last five seasons. The Tigers needed a high-octane crime in 2018, averaging 42.9 points a game that ranked them in all of D-1 soccer.
Fortunately for Tigers’ fans, Memphis will see the return of quarterback Brady White, who handed 26 touchdowns and 3296 yards with eight selections on the year. Furthermore, White will notice three to four of the top goals back into uniform, including No. 1 recipient Damonte Coxie.
From the backfield, last season’s starting tailback, Darrell Henderson, was plucked by the Rams in the next round of April’s NFL draft, but his first backup Patrick Taylor Jr. will assume the starting role after breaking the plane of the end zone on 18 occasions, two of which were getting touchdowns, in 2018.
Even though the Tigers’ defense wasn’t as impressive as its offense, they’ll be returning eight starters and aspire to improve upon their 31.5 PPG ordinary.
