Against the Spread Pick
Both teams will be playing the second night of a back to back, so there’s no real advantage in terms of rest. On Friday night, the Thunder blew the doors off Atlanta, winning 140-111, while the Timberwolves lost their 8th straight game, losing 131-124 to the Houston Rockets. Minnesota is moving further and further away from a playoff spot, to the point where it might be in their best interest to start playing for the draft. The Thunder have playmakers all over the floor and will be looking to move into a position where they could grab a top-four seed. Oklahoma City is 30-15 against the spread this season and 7-0 ATS on 0 days of rest. I like the Thunder here to keep it rolling and think they pick up a big win.
Over Under Pick
It is safe to say that the over is where I will be looking for this game. With both teams having played on Friday, tired legs could be a factor, which could lead to a lack of defense. Over each team’s last five games, they are both allowing an average of 113 points or more. In two meetings this season, the over has cashed twice and that is what I will be playing in the third game of the season series.
