Against the Spread Pick
It’s Friday night in the Horizon and the top two teams are on display. Northern Kentucky is #2 and on the road so it will be a tough game but the Norse are more than just a great name. They are a solid team led by senior wing Dantez Walton, who had three 30+ point games in his last six outings before suffering an arm injury. In his absence Tyler Sharpe and Trevon Faulkner are doing their best to keep the team afloat. They average close to 30ppg and are one of the best backcourts in the league. They might have four losses but Wright State is actually pretty close to perfect with losses by 1, 2 and 4 points and one in overtime. Loudon Love is a true small college center. He is just 6’8″ but packs on 260 pounds and averages 15/10. He is one of the hardest guys to guard in the league and gives them an advantage every night. Take Wright State at home.
Over Under Pick
Wright State loves to play at pace. They average 80ppg which is in the top 20 nationally and their defense is not great. At home in a game with some buzz I am looking for the pace to be really good. They have been playing more overs than unders this season and that is a trend to follow. Go over.
