NY Knicks +1.5 Point Spread

Under 217 Game Totals

Against the Spread Pick

A classic game where somebody has to win it. These teams met a couple of weeks ago in NYC and the Knicks won by 20.  They are also off a “how did they do that?” win over the Pacers in their last game. I am not saying they have turned a corner but things might be more stable than they were earlier in the season. Elfrid Payton is suspended for this one and even though he is far from elite he has been starting lately. The Cavs have lost three in a row, all at home, with the odd part being the closest game was against the Raptors – they got smoked against New Orleans and Golden State. Their young perimeter players are showing something, sometimes. I still think they are not going to really have a point guard if they stick with this group but I like what I see from wing Kevin Porter Jr.  He is a great athlete who has more to his game than expected. Take Cleveland to rebound and nip the Knicks here.

Over Under Pick

Both of these teams are bad on defense but at the same time, they are not blessed with great offensive talent either.  It is hard to see how both teams get their offenses going in the same game and that leads me to think under. Especially NY which is just such a mess on so many possessions because they lack someone to tie it all together. Cleveland is in a similar position. Take the under.
