Puck Line Pick

In a rivalry that has seen far better days, the Devils and Flyers, the early 2000s were the days for both teams. But since 2012 neither team has won a playoff series. And of the two teams, Philadelphia has the far better standing and holds the final wild-card spot by a mere two-points over Carolina. For what is still a pretty heated rivalry, the Devils will look to spoil the Flyers’ hopes. New Jersey hasn’t shown any signs of hope in recent games, and with a 1-6 record in its last seven games, things don’t look good on the horizon. Philadelphia will look to rely on the crowd at Wells Fargo Center. We’re betting on that home-ice advantage, and taking the Flyers on the puck line.

Over Under Pick

Philadelphia has totaled 170 goals on the season which is fourth-best in the Metropolitan Divison while surrendering 157 goals. The last two times the Devils and Flyers have met at Wells Fargo Center, each game has resulted in shutouts. The most recent of which was a 4-0 win for Philadelphia back in October. While the Flyers have been a reliable scoring team, New Jersey hasn’t been as lucky. Given recent results, a play on the under six-goal total is a must.
