Puck Line Pick
The Penguins had a crazy January schedule with seven games in 12 days at one point, but thankfully they survived and now have had plenty of rest with this just their fourth game of February. They get a Montreal team who has lost two in a row coming in. Pittsburgh made the smart move adding Jason Zucker by trade, and it looks to be already paying benefits, as the Penguins have battled through a very tough schedule with a 6-4 record in their last 10 games. The Canadiens have lost three of the last 10 head-to-head meetings against the Penguins. In their first two meetings this season, Montreal was able to get a comfortable three-goal victory in their first visit to PPG Paints Arena, before coming up one goal short in their meeting in Montreal. The Canadiens has won in two of its last three visits to Pittsburgh. However, they might be visiting at the wrong time. Pittsburgh should be hungry for a win and taking the Penguins on the puck line is a must.
Over Under Pick
Montreal is lighting up the net at a reasonable rate of three goals per game while giving up three or more goals in four of their last six games. Pittsburgh has had a strong goal-scoring season as well, but their last two games have resulted in five-goal totals or less. The Penguins find ways to put the puck in the net at home, however. Each of the last 10 head-to-head meetings has resulted in five-goal totals or more. This match-up features a total of 5.5, which seems easily reachable. Taking the over with high confidence is a must.
