Puck Line Pick

It really does not matter who Detroit plays because they are almost a fade every night. Sure they win occasionally, but with just 14 wins on the season, they are easily the hardest team to bet on. That being said, Montreal is not exactly the best team either. Both sides have lost four in a row so I cannot imagine betting on either of these teams. The crazy part is that Detroit is 3-0 against the Canadiens this season. About 21% of their wins this season have come against the same team. Because Montreal are such a huge favorite, I cannot take them on the moneyline. That being said, their struggles against this Detroit side are real, so I will lean to Detroit on the puck line to keep this one close.

Over Under Pick

Just like the side, I really do not like this total. The Red Wings are easily the worst offense in the league, averaging just 2 goals per game. Montreal is average at best, averaging 3 goals. That being said, Detroit has scored a total of 10 goals in the first three games against the Canadiens, so they have had success against this team. Now over the last five games, each team is averaging less than 2 goals per game, so I believe we will see more scoring struggles here. This is not a game I will be betting, but it would be a lean to the under if I had to pick a side.
