Against the Spread Pick
Karl-Anthony Towns is back but the season is finished for Minnesota. They have lost 10 in a row and covered just once during that span. Taking on the Clippers on the road does not look like a spot where the results are likely to change. The only thing that might help is an unusually long layoff for this one, four days. Though hanging out in SoCal might not be the best way to bring together the team. I suppose things are off on the L.A. basketball scene these days. That is about the only reason I can see for the Clippers losing to the Kings at home by 21 points when they were favored by 14. Kawhi Leonard did not play but Paul George did and they just got thumped. Leonard is questionable with a back injury for this one. Against a team with a bit more of a pulse I might have said fade L.A. for another game but backing the Timberwolves is very uncomfortable. Stick with the home team.
Over Under Pick
No Leonard reduces the amount of firepower for the Clippers but this is still a team that can fill it up. Minnesota is 27th in the league in defense so they are not going to offer much resistance anyway. More of their games are going over than not this season and I think they will add to that here. Take the over.
