The Braves’ bullpen prefer to make things interesting which was again the situation Wednesday night. After establishing a 6-2 lead in the 7th inning, the Braves nearly blew another lead in the 9th. It was just on Saturday the Braves were losers after going to the bottom of the 9th with a 6-2 lead. This time, though, that the Braves managed to hold on and protected a 6-4 triumph.
It was not simple and Mark Melancon made matters stressed with all the bases loaded and only 1 out. Despite getting in to trouble, Brian Snitker stuck with Melancon and that he managed to get out of the jam. Melancon is recorded as the Braves’ closer after newcomer Shane Greene. But if Melancon continues to load up the bases like that, afterward Greene will have another opportunity to seize the moment.
When the Braves need to have success in the postseason, there is not much secret seeing what must change. By the looks of it, they are going to be relying heavily on regular season starters from the bullpen who did not make the postseason rotation. Since they hold onto a lead in the division, Even the NL East crown is in reach. Washington have been playing well recently, so they have been able to hold their own, but trading wins isn’t going to assist with respect into the NL East.
The Nats are also fighting for a wildcard, which they’re in possession of. Thursday is shaping up to be a nice starting pitching matchup between Marcus Stroman and Julio Teheran. Stroman is still looking for a standout performance with the Mets. This will be his third outing of his career as a Met. Head under for our complimentary Mets vs. Braves choice.

The Mets will probably be looking for much more from Marcus Stroman down the stretch. He has not helped much thus far and has not produced the Mets seem too glowing going after him. The Mets went to a monster 16-1 run, but that has nothing to do with all the Stroman deal. In any event, the Mets have won both of Stroman’s begins. He might have pitched better, though.
Between his first two trips together with the Mets, Stroman has recently now posted an ERA of all 6.10 at 10.1 innings of work. He allowed seven earned conducts, along with 16 hits and 5 walks in those innings. So, while Stroman gets a free pass thus far, particularly following the Mets won both games, he needs to be better than this to make the trade worth it. The Braves are hitting .280 using a .337 OBP from Stroman in 82 at-bats. On the other side, the Mets have a lengthy history against Teheran within his profession.
The Mets will eclipse 400 at-bats against Teheran in this contest. They struck .216 with 10 home runs. Getting to Teheran in the home hasn’t been simple for visiting groups. Teheran owns an ERA of 2.52 at 60.2 innings of ball in Atlanta. He’s yielded only 5 long balls in the home in 2019 too. Be aware that Teheran has allowed two or less runs in seven of his last outings, and has not given up more than 3 runs since June 24th from the Cubs in Wrigley Field.
In his latest appearance against the Mets, the Braves were champions by a score of 5-4. We’re seeing what’s happening to the Mets now that they must play with a winning team. Throughout their 15-1 run, the only team they beat having a record higher than .500 were that the Nationals, they ultimately had their winning streak snapped against. Teheran and the Braves look like the perfect side here for a second win on the Mets.
