Against The Spread Pick
In their first matchup LSU outrebounded Arkansas 53 to 24, which is mostly the reason they were defeated. Even with the dominance on the boards, LSU only was able to win by only two points at home. LSU is far from locked for a NCAA Tournament birth, but this game is more of a must-win for the Razorbacks as they fight for recognition and senior day. Both teams can light it up on offense, but Arkansas is a much better team on the defensive end and is the best three point defending team in the nation. They also allow an average of four less points a game. I am siding with the Razorbacks defense at home on senior day to cover.
Over Under Pick
This is a matchup between two powerhouse offenses who love to run the total up. Arkansas has scored at least 76 points in its last six home games and has averaged over 84 points offensively in its last three games. The trends are all all pointing towards an over in this one. Arkansas’ last seven home games have gone over and 12 of Arkansas’s last 13 games overall have hit the over. LSU is one of the nation’s best offensive teams, but their defense tends to disappear at times, which has resulted in seven of the Tigers last eight games going over. Take the over even with a big number.
