Against the Spread Pick
This is a battle between the two worst teams in the Sun Belt Conference: the Troy Trojans and Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks. Although the Warhawks have won only two conference games, one of those came at the expense of none other than Troy–via a 79-63 decision on Jan. 2. Additional good news is that ULM is coming off a week in which it was competitive against the Belt’s two Georgia-based teams, Georgia State and Georgia Southern. Troy, which is turning the ball over 14.4 times per contest, has lost four of its past five contests. Louisiana-Monroe is 33-16-2 ATS in its last 51 on Thursday. The Trojans are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five overall, 15-35-2 ATS in their last 52 against opponents with losing records, and 8-24 ATS in their last 32 against opponents with winning percentages under .400. Getting six points should be enough for the WARHAWKS.
Over Under Pick
Troy is putting four different players in double-figures, led by Darian Adamas at 12.3 points per game. At the other end of the floor, the Trojans are giving up more than 72 points per contest. The over is 5-0 in the Warhawks’ last five against opponents with winning percentages under .400. It is also 4-0 in the Trojans’ last four against opponents with losing records. Look for this one to go OVER the total.
