Generally the most entertaining fixture of the Premier League season, Liverpool v Arsenal fails to fail.
Two sides that love attacking, who’d love goals and who like to amuse Liverpool, the neutral and Arsenal have played some absolute classics in decades.
Since the beginning of 2014, the 12 matches between the two sides have afforded 53 targets, and that I do not expect that to change any time soon.
Arsenal’s summer signings are already gelling well, especially the impressive Dani Ceballos, and under Unai Emery, who’s surely renowned for prioritising attack finished defence, the Gunners will feel they could definitely get at Liverpool, that have not quite looked their old, utterly dominant selves against Norwich, Southampton or Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup.
With Alisson out hurt, Liverpool do seem somewhat less secure in the back, with all the erratic Adrian that a much less reassuring existence (because he exhibited with a howler against Southampton) behind the defenders. There’s no way using a Spanish Simon Mignolet in target won’t have an impact on the medial side. ??
Backing both groups score is a no-brainer, but I am also going to back a Liverpool triumph + BTTS as a separate tip. Arsenal seem good, but Jurgen Klopp’s side have defeated Arsenal on their last three Anfield visits–scoring 12 times–and using such imperious home form during the previous 18 months or so (not to mention Arsenal’s relative travel illness ), Liverpool will be convinced of claiming the things.
1 man who has put in some incredible performances from Arsenal has been Roberto Firmino.
His account opened for the season against Southampton last weekend, and with seven goals in his last four games against Arsenal at Anfield it’s reasonable to expect him to have success once more.
It’s also worth noting Firmino also scored Liverpool’s first goal on all four events, but with so many objects packed into this Reds side, I’d Nevertheless Be inclined to simply back . ??
