Against the Spread Pick
Davidson finished the season with overs in seven of their eight final games. They are usually one of the most efficient offensive teams in the country and over that stretch did not once score less than 72 points. One of those game was against La Salle but the Explorers only scored 49 in that game. That looks like an outlier but I hope it is something we can use to our advantage to score an over.
Over Under Pick
In another Big Ten tournament first round matchup, the seventh-seeded Ohio State Buckeyes take on 10th-seeded Purdue. Ohio State finished regular season play with a 21-10 record while Purdue managed to stay above .500 at 16-15. The two teams played once this year, a little less than a month ago, and Ohio State easily handled Purdue, winning by 16 points. After that win vs Purdue, Ohio State proceeded to win four of their last six games, coming into the tournament red hot. And I would expect them to do exactly what they did the last time they played Purdue. They shut them down offensively, only allowing Purdue to score 52 points, while scoring 68 themselves. Expect more of the same tonight and take Ohio State ATS.
