Against The Spread Pick

This will be a rematch of a game that was played about two weeks ago in Manhattan, Kansas. The Wildcats blew the doors off the Mountaineers in what was a 84-68 upset win. The difference with this game is: 1. It is in West Virginia, where the Mountaineers are undefeated, and 2. Kansas State will be without Antonio Gordon and James Love III due to them being suspended due to that brawl against Kansas a week or so ago. Combined these two guys are averaging only five points per game, so they are not losing much production. However, the Wildcats are just 1-4 on the road, so they do not fare well away from home. Meanwhile, the Mountaineers were upset by Texas Tech this past week and they will be glad to play in front of their home fans. They are 7-3 against the spread at home as well, making me believe they will bounce back in a big way. I really do not love laying double-digits with West Virginia, but I do think their defense will play much better and they will find away to win this game with no problem.

Over Under Pick

The total in this game is 132.5 and it is one I want to stay far away from. Obviously in the first meeting the total went way over. However, the defense that the Mountaineers play at home is something else. At home they allow just 59.6 points per game, while Kansas State scores 61 on the road. Even if the Mountaineers only allow say 60, their offense is more than capable of putting up close to 80. That said, it is not a total I would play, but it would be a lean to the over.
