Harlequins centre although not being a part of this World Cup squad England’s final warm-up game will be started by Joe Marchant against Italy on Friday.
Marchant is alongside Piers Francis in the midfield in what’s called a”mix and match selection strategy”.
Ruaridh McConnochie joins Jonny May and Anthony Watson and now will finally make his debut on the wing.
Billy Vunipola creates his fourth start of the campaign at number eight.
“We’ve gone with a mix and match selection policy to develop our adaptability and the team’s ability to deal with any situation,” explained head coach Eddie Jones.
Friday’s game in Newcastle is going to be the England Test match to be staged at St James’ Park.
Jones’ side fly out on Sunday ahead of their championship opener against Tonga on 22 September.
“We’re playing at an iconic football ground and we all know the region is a significant one for rugby in the northern part of England,” Jones added.
“We’re looking forward to seeing and playing in front of the lovers.”
Earlier coming on against Ireland a fortnight 21, marchant made his England debut as a substitute against Wales.
His addition raises questions over the fitness of Jonathan Joseph, after the Bath man pulled with unspecified muscle soreness.
Fellow centre Henry Slade hasn’t played a minute of rugby, and is also missing last month.
Meanwhile, the addition in the back-row for the fourth match of Vunipola appears a bet by Jones.
However trainer Neal Hatley said on Thursday the England administration had no concerns regarding Vunipola’s workload.
“Some of the major issues with Billy would be to maintain him playing,” Hatley said.
Captain Owen Farrell begins at fly-half for the first time in the warm-up schedule, although Anthony Watson performs full-back for the very first time since March 2018.
“We’ve had a good training week in Treviso with sexy conditions so we are excited about testing ourselves against Italy on Friday night,” Jones added.
“Then we hop on the airplane and are all set to go to Japan.”
