MINN -4.5 Point Spread

Over 149 Game Totals

Against The Spread Pick

The Hawkeyes remain on the road, as they make a visit to Williams Arena to face a Minnesota team in search of another key victory. Iowa has lost three of its last five against some of the Big Ten’s toughest teams. The Gophers put up a respectable effort in their six-point loss at Penn State this past week. Iowa has only covered the spread once in their last five games away from home. The road isn’t an easy place for many of the teams in the Big Ten. Minnesota is 9-2 at home this season, and both the Hawkeyes and Gophers have each won five of the last 10 head-to-head meetings. Iowa covered a 5.5-point spread in the teams’ first meeting this season, this time around could be a lot tougher for the Hawkeyes. They haven’t won at Williams Arena since January 2015. Luka Garza will make an impact, but taking Minnesota at home -4.5 is the right play.

Over Under Pick

What stands out in this game is the amount of scoring that could occur. The post duel that will be featured between Iowa’s Luka Garza and Minnesota’s Daniel Oturu will be hard to top. Each of the Hawkeyes’ last three games have resulted in over totals. In two of the last three head-to-head meetings, Iowa and Minnesota were able to combine for an over 155-point total. Their first meeting this season wasn’t quite enough as the Hawkeyes won that game 72-52. This game should be a lot closer, and more production, so taking an over 149 total is the right decision.
